Legacy Charters is a family fishing operation run by two licensed captains who have spent their lives on the water. We run private charters out of Little River just north of Myrtle Beach, putting guests on everything from near shore Bull Reddish, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel aboard our 28 ft Bertram Sportfish, The Kraken to offshore Mahi- Mahi, Blackfin Tuna and Wahoo aboard our 39ft Hatteras Express, The Kraken II.
We started this business the old-fashioned way. Captain Mike Sr. grew up fishing the Jersey Shore and ran a charter operation out of Barnegat Inlet for 20 years. He passed that knowledge, that work ethic, and that love for fishing to his son, Capt. Mike Jr. For over a decade we now fish the South Carolina coast, bringing a lifetime of experience to every trip.

8-Hour Offshore Trip
From $1,500
Travel out to the deep 20 to 30 plus miles. We will be trolling for larger King Mackerel, Amber Jacks, Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, Barracuda and other toothy creatures. Depending on what’s biting we could try the bottom for Seabass, Triggers, Grunts and other bottom dwellers !
3 Hour Tour/Troll Trip
$450
Not every great fishing trip needs a full day. Our 3-hour troll gets you out on the water, lines in, and into fish in a timeframe that fits almost any vacation schedule. We head nearshore out of Little River, trolling for Spanish Mackerel and whatever else is running along the Grand Strand coast.
What to Expect Fishing the Grand Strand
Little River sits at the northern end of the Grand Strand, just 4.5 miles from the inlet. That matters. Where other operations burn an hour getting through no-wake zones, we are already fishing.
The variety of fish in this corridor is hard to beat. Inshore, the creeks and marshes hold redfish, sea trout, and black drum year-round. Push out a little further and you are into Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, and sharks. Run offshore to the reefs, wrecks, and the Gulf Stream and it is a whole different ballgame — Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Red Snapper, Grouper.
If you want fish, this is the coast to fish.
Meet Our Crew
Three captains. One family. A combined resume that goes from the Jersey Shore to the Gulf Stream to the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
Capt. Mike Masiero Sr. built this business from the ground up, running charters out of Barnegat Inlet, New Jersey for two decades before relocating to South Carolina in 2010. He has since passed the helm to his sons, Capt. Mike Jr. and Capt. Kyle — both USCG 100-ton licensed captains who grew up fishing and know these waters as well as anyone.

Our newest addition to the fleet is the Kraken II a 39' Hatteras Express. Go offshore in comfort to fish the blue waters of the Gulf Stream or take a quick trip inshore. How about a night cruise on the ICW and enjoy the sites. With AC in the cabin and on the main deck stay cool on those hot summer days while chasing the Big Ones !
